Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Vantyris, a service provided by Shield Trust Holdings (United Kingdom; reg. [TBD: Companies House number]). By creating an account or buying credits you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Acceptable Use Policy, and our Refund Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on your own behalf or on behalf of a business you represent. Vantyris is offered to businesses and freelance professionals; consumer purchases are out of scope.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at help@vantyris.com if you suspect unauthorised access. Each account is for one person or one workspace, credentials are not transferable.

3. The service

Vantyris runs automated cyber-hygiene scans against systems you own or have been explicitly authorised to test. We provide two scan types, a passive teaser and a verified standard scan, plus optional continuous monitoring. We make no promise that any scan will find every issue, that "no findings" means a system is secure, or that Vantyris is a substitute for a penetration test or any formal certification.

4. Credits and purchases

Vantyris is paid for primarily by purchasing credit packs. One credit equals one verified standard scan of one target. Credits are valid for twelve (12) months from purchase and are consumed FIFO (oldest first). Specifics:

• Credits are digital goods, not stored value. They are not redeemable for cash.
• Prices in EUR, GBP, and USD are set natively per currency. We do not auto-convert at checkout.
• Promo codes apply at checkout, one per order. We may add, remove, or expire codes at any time.
• Subscriptions (the optional Shield Plan) are billed monthly until cancelled. Cancelling preserves any remaining credits up to their 12-month expiry.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to the full Acceptable Use Policy. In summary: scan only systems you own or have explicit, written authorisation to scan; never use Vantyris to test for unauthorised access to third-party systems; never attempt to circumvent the verification gate or rate limits. Breach of acceptable use is grounds for immediate termination, log retention, and (where the law requires it) notification to the relevant authority.

6. Refunds

See the Refund Policy for the full terms. Short version: unused credits are refundable within fourteen (14) days of purchase by emailing refunds@vantyris.com. Used credits, expired credits, and partially-consumed promotional credits are not refundable.

7. Intellectual property

Vantyris, the Vantyris name and logo, the website, the report design, the remediation library, and the source code are owned by Shield Trust Holdings. You retain ownership of the systems you scan and the configuration data you submit. We license to you the right to use the service and reproduce the reports we generate about your own systems for your business purposes.

8. Confidentiality

We treat scan inputs and outputs as confidential. We disclose them only to (a) you, (b) members of your workspace whom you have explicitly added, and (c) the processors we use to operate the service (listed in the Privacy Policy).

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is." We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, that every scan completes within a target time, or that any specific issue will be detected. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or related to your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) £100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the law of England and Wales.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time from the workspace settings page. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or applicable law. On termination, your unused credits within the 14-day refund window are refundable as described in the Refund Policy. Data retention follows the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may revise these Terms. Material changes will be notified to you by email at least fourteen (14) days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that period constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that you may bring a claim in your local courts if mandatory consumer-protection rules apply.
